? (the first part of session I forgot to record - sorry)
Valeska appeases victor, who is moping because she is late and didn’t inform him she was grabbing a bite after work. Julian heads out to sketch, bumping into someone at the graveyard (Rowan Pike). They sketch together before they are chased off. Julian heads home.
The next day, Victor mentions to Valeska that his Dad called, and he needs to head out for the day. Daphne has coffee ready for Julian again when he stops by before class. At school, he notices one of the missing posters looks vaguely familiar. Valeska notices this as well, and is able to realize that the missing person is Bree’s most recent boyfriend that she thought ghosted her.
PCs plus Bree hang out at lunch on campus. Valeska shows her the poster. After lunch, Valeska gets a call from Victor saying the day isn’t going well. At work (Obisian Inkworks), a kid that reeks of weed (Mike) is given permission by Gideon to crash in the back. Julian’s roommate Felix/Flick(?) walks in and pulls Julian outside to talk, wants him to give military tattoos to some people, but he refuses.
Gideon sends Julian and Valeska out to put up flyers to advertise the Inkworks. When they get back, there is someone (Ember) in the waiting room. It seems very important to them that they get a specific tattoo, but they don’t have the money for it. In private Julian talks Gideon into letting him do it anyway. He draws up flash for the person, and then sets about doing the work. He mentions it’ll take 3-4 sessions to complete it.
Julian stays after closing to help Gideon with a project (putting lockable doors up). Valeska heads home to get ready for Victor. She spies something on his collar, and he picks up on it, getting angry and she backs off. At home Flick gives Julian some apology pizza, and tickets for an upcoming concert.
=====EPISODE 2=====
Weekend. At home, Victor mentions to Valeska h is sister Anya is planning to visit. Meanwhile, at lunch, Bree and Julian talk. She did some looking into her boyfriend Miles’ disappearance. The police aren’t looking into it anymore. A bus ticket for his day of disappearance had been discovered, but he was in class and seen larger in the day when he supposedly bought it. Julian texts Rowan to meet while Bree calls Valeska and asks her to come by. Valeska brings Victor.
Bree re-explains things to Valeska until Rowan arrives, and he mentions he last saw Miles up on the cliffs. The group decides to investigate, and after getting the ok from Gideon and Victor, they head to the cliffs. After some investigating, they find Miles’ phone, and a weird video of a group of robed individuals dragging something from the sea onto the beach. Miles had been trying to send it to Bree. Finding no other sign of him, they search the ruins, and discover a secret passage containing a weird ritual room.
After leaving the rooms, a small popup fisherman’s tent is discovered on the beach. Inside they find a guy holding Miles hostage. A Small fight ensues with Valeska keeping the kidnapper bound and question him. They learn that a guy named Greg (the leader) has the thing they found, and that the robed group itself is called Gygax’s Dozen - just a bunch of D&D nerds. They also learn Miles had been given a bunch of Xanax.
Miles is dropped off at the hospital, and Julian and Valeska head to the police station to turn in the kidnapper. They tell what they learned, with Valeska filling in other details. When they leave, they both have the impression nothing will be done. On the way out, the Sheriff questions Valeska about where she is living and who she is living with.
When Julian drops Victor off, he is invited inside for a drink, where they talk. After Julian leaves, Victor is upset because Valeska was talking to the police. Julian updates Gideon. Julian sees Ember at the Lighthouse Café and talks to her a bit. After a while, he heads home.
=====EPISODE 3=====
A couple of days later, murmur about an article in the school paper are overheard. Julian asks someone about it, and learns that the author was accusing the administration of a cover-up, and they are pulling all copies of the paper that they can find. Valeska asks Ninko if she can manage to find a copy of the paper. Julian learns Gideon gets a copy, and reads the article while at work, taking snapshots of the article to send to Valeska later. Victor helps Valeska study. He stresses to Valeska to never talk to the police again, to let the family handle things.
The next day the PCs get school assignments related to the newspaper incident. Valeska gets security cam footage to review for her class. The PCs head into Donovan Hall and try to investigate. They learn that the building is smaller on the inside, but not much else. Next they head to the library on campus, then the town library to research Donovan Hall, finding little in the school library. Valeska gets home to find an annoyed Victor. He gets angry at one point, and Valeska gets beaten that night.
The next day, the PCs discover a blur on the security footage. Bree and Valeska discuss having a “Doctor Who” marathon at the Inkworks at some point - Gideon gives the ok. Julian sets up a meeting with the article author. Victor’s sister Anya shows up to see Valeska, and thinks about getting a tattoo - Valeska talks her out of a tramp stamp, and Julian offers to do a new design at some point.
Julian and Valeska meet with the article author and discuss what he came up with, and learn he had done a lot of research, and was getting death threats so is skipping town. He hands his research over to Julian. Gideon gives permission for a girls’ night sleepover at the Inkworks - Julian is dubbed honorary girl.
The next morning they awake to Gideon having brought breakfast. Everyone parts ways and heads home. Julian reviews what’s on the drive he was given, and copies it to his laptop before working on his homework, including trying to make a faithful recreation of the figure behind Donovan Hall. Valeska heads home with Anya. Valeska picks up on Victor smelling of perfume. The two of them show Anya around town.
Julian heads out after drawing, to get lunch. Valeska and Co happen to stop by, and Victor invites Julian over to their table. Julian is then invited to go with them to a mall a town over. While the girls are trying on clothes, Victor questions Julian, subtly threatening him. Julian expresses concern to Anya later when Victor and Valeska are in a pet store. Anya later expresses to Valeska that she thinks her brother might hurt Julian.
Julian texts the couple numbers he picked up from flirting at the mall, then hangs out with roommates before bed. Valeska and company have dinner, spending time together before bed.

Julian checks on Valeska throughout the night, and makes her breakfast in the morning. He offers to help Valeska look for Victor. Gideon is asked about where he left Victor so they can look, but he refuses to tell. After Valeska leaves the shop, he talks to Julian, and reveals where to look for Victor. He lets Valeska know, and she goes off on her own to look, but Julian follows. They eventually find him, and he’s terrified and somewhat injured. They help him back to the house, where Valeska patches him up, and Julian leaves.
Valeska contacts Dmitri to inform him Victor is found and is ok. When Victor wakes, he talks a little, and in a panic makes Valeska promise to never go in the woods at night. Val redresses his wounds after a shower, and notices a rash, deducing that it’s from violent rape. At work, Julian updates Gideon about Victor. Gideon and Valeska talk briefly via text. Victor contacts his father to saw he needs some time off. After getting off the phone, he has Valeska drive him into town, to a jewelry store to get an apology gift for Gideon.
Valeska gets little sleep due to Victor waking up screaming. The PCs attend class, meeting up at lunch. Bree talks the PCS into going out, and they call out of work to be able to go to a club later, which Julian offers to pay for an uber so they can all drink. That night at the club, Valeska gets flirted with by Jimmy. Julian flirts, and gets an offer to leave with a guy, which he takes. On the way out, he gets called out b y some homophobes, who take issue when he flips them off. Valeska follows them out. A fight ensues, and Julian’s date takes off.
Heading back into the club, they can’t find Bree. They go looking for her, and they find her outside, being a snack for a vampire. They try confronting him, but are dominated into leaving. Bree is taken to a hospital to make sure she’s ok. Mood soured, everyone heads home. Once home, Julian sketches the guy he saw in the alley snacking on Bree. Julian has mail when he gets home as well—an invitation from a classmate, Isaiah, to his award ceremony the following night.
Julian invites Valeska to the award ceremony. Thomas Blackwell is there and looks familiar, but they can’t figure out why. They stop by Inkworks to pick up the book Valeska stole, but it’s missing—Gideon had it, and makes sure she’s going to be safe with it before giving it back. Once home, when looking at their Donovan Hall research, they both come to the same conclusion—that Blackwell is the mystery figure. When discussing vampires on the phone to each other, they hear a click, and wonder if they’ve been listened in on. Valeska asks Ninko if it’s possible a cell conversation could be tapped. The PCs don’t sleep that night.
Julian receive a call partway through the morning from the club guy, Mark, asking for a second chance, and they set up a date. At informing the girls of his date, they take Julian shopping. Valeska receives as summons to head to the groundskeeper’s office. Once there, he asks her some odd questions, then hands her some silver stakes and holy water, stating school campus is going to be dangerous at night.
After classes, the PCs meet up to talk about the meeting, before heading to Inkworks. Mark comes by, but Gideon gives him a “Dad-talk” before they leave. On the date, Julian learns why Mark has a warrant out for his arrest. Overall the date goes well. The next day (Saturday) they hold the Doctor Who marathon, which everyone enjoys.
=====EPISODE 6=====
Next day (Sunday), the PC’s go over Donovan Hall info to look for connections to Thomas Blackwell, including a stop at both libraries. In addition, they look up vampire lore, finding little to nothing at the campus library. They note that the publication company of most of the on campus books are published by one of Blackwell’s companies. Julian brings up the idea of trying to attend an upcoming fundraiser to try to study Blackwell. Next stop is the Preservation Society, looking into the founding families. They do some shopping for Valeska’s cat, then go their separate ways.
Victor tries to cook dinner, ends up getting upset and beating Valeska. Julian buys pizza for his roommates. Evening arrives, and the PC’s meet back up to do so me vampire hunting. They walk a circuit around Donovan Hall, coming up to something eerie at the edge of the woods. Upon checking, they find a huge wolf footprint, and back off. At Donovan Hall they spot Isaiah waiting around and checking his watch. After a bit, he wipes down the cellar door handles and breaks off a key in the padlock and walks off.
Julian talks to Isaiah away from the building, but neglects to ask what he was doing at the cellar. From there, the PC’s head into Donovan Hall into utility closet to find one of the doors that leads into a crawlspace. They investigate the crawlspaces, with Julian feeling a cold chill at one point. Finding no vampires, they leave. At home, Julian receives a call form his Dad and brings up the fundraiser, and makes date arrangements with Mark. That night, Julian does not sleep well.
Monday at school, he swears he sees a statue in a different position what it had been. Valeska successfully covers her beat marks from the night before. Her Kinetics Awareness professor pulls her aside to ask if she’s alright. On the way out of his office, she senses something strange, but doesn’t notice anything. At work, Julian gives a tattoo to Ash Wetherell, something he wants as a rebellious act - he gets a wolf howling at the new moon. After work, everyone heads home.
=====EPISODE 7=====
Valeska’s dance teacher pulls her aside in class, stating another Professor would like to speak with her. She is offered a position as a teaching assistant, and is asked to stop by his office later. After class, she heads there to do paperwork, and he asks to see what she’s been working on. Valeska dances for him, and he gives pointers.
At work, Julian, Valeska and Bree discuss the upcoming Harry Potter event. Bree heads out for lunch with Ash, and Valeska leaves notes on the event for Bree. Upon return, Bree checks the notes, and finds new handwriting on them, adding “+ coming out party” to the header. At home, Valeska finds Victor cooking, and informs him of the TA position. After work, Julian’s father calls him to relay info about Blackwell’s charity that he learned. At home, Victor is on his best behavior. Julian gets a text from Mark.
Next day, Julian approaches a nervous Isaiah at school. He’s stressed about his new positions as a sort of personal assistant to Blackwell and juggling school. Isaiah offers to see about getting fundraiser tickets for Julian. At lunch, Valeska notices Ash’s tattoo fading slightly. Julian offers to touch it up the next night, since he’s seeing Mark that night. After school the girls help Julian get ready for his date.
Valeska, Victor, and Bree go to the movies, where they bump into Julian and Mark briefly. Victor is being especially nice. On the way home, he tries to steer the conversation so that Valeska would ask Bree if she’d partake in a threesome, but it doesn’t happen. They have a fight. Julian’s date goes well overall.
Next day at school, Isaiah gives VIP tickets to Julian for the fundraiser. Victor is nowhere to be found when Valeska wakes, but there is a box containing gold-plated butterfly knives and an I’m sorry card. At lunch, Harold approaches the group. Julian talks to him, and he asks if they’ve found any vampires yet. After school, Victor is not home. Valeska spends time figuring out where new feeding grounds on campus might be.
After work, Julian meets with Valeska, and they investigate the performing arts center. At one point, Julian is approached by Isaiah, who is behaving strangely. He asks if Julian has time to meet with Blackwell. After conversing briefly with Valeska via text, he says yes and heads to a car where Blackwell is waiting. Valeska follows in Julian’s car. In the car, Julian and Blackwell talk, with Blackwell asking at one point if Julian wants to work for him. After learning Julian is an artist, he says he may know someone interested in looking at Julian’s work, then drops him off back at campus.
Julian tells Valeska about the meeting, then drops Valeska off at an empty home - Victor is staying at a hotel until she says he can come back. On the way there, they spot Gideon’s truck a little way down the street. When Julian gets home, the house is empty except for a woman waiting for him - Seraphine, the friend of Blackwell’s. She goes over his portfolio and comments on it, then asks about him. She asks him to tattoo her, and he does, with her making a decision. She offers him a job, and without thinking Julian says yes. She promptly embraces him, then has him follow her to her haven.
Since he is hungry, she brings him her runner-up, a student from one of Julian’s classes. Unable to resist, Julian feeds off of and kills him in doing so. After being left alone, he calls Valeska to tell her what happened. The next morning, Valeska does her usual routine. Her kinesiology professor offers to teach her self-defense, and she accepts. They make an arrangement for her to be taught at his home. They discuss the salve he gave her to help with her bruising from the fight with Victor.
In the evening, Seraphine goes over a few things with Julian before he leaves, including spending blood to appear human. He heads in to work, and notes how people, especially Vaeska, smell good. When he takes a lunch, Valeska heads with him, and follows when he sneaks off to feed from a waiter. Serpahine is there and interrupts, coaching Julian on how much is safe to take. Once back at the shop, Julian touches up Ash’s tattoo.
After closing, Mark calls to set up a date for the following night, and says he’ll come into town. Valeska heads home. When she gets to her room, she finds Seraphine waiting for her. Seraphine mentions how dangerous her knowledge could be for Julian, as well as if she causes problems for vampires. She also asks Valeska to delete the video she took of Julian feeding. Before she leaves, she informs Valeska that she finds her trustworthy, since after all Valeska has enough secrets of her own, and then leaves. At home, Julian sun proofs his room, locks up, and begins to apply for his own apartment.
